Tax Planning

Plan your taxes during the year instead of at filing time: the right regime, the right deductions and advance tax paid on schedule.

Overview

Good tax planning is legal, simple and done early. It means choosing the tax regime that suits your income, using the deductions you're entitled to, and paying advance tax on time so you avoid interest.

We review your income and commitments, estimate your tax for the year, and give you a clear plan with dates and amounts.

Common mistakes to avoid

Last-minute investing

Buying products in March only to save tax often means poor choices.

Skipping advance tax

If your tax liability is ₹10,000 or more, missing instalments leads to interest.

Choosing a regime by habit

The better regime depends on your deductions and can change year to year.

Frequently asked questions

Which is better, the old or new regime?

It depends on your deductions. The new regime has lower rates and a rebate that makes income up to ₹12 lakh tax-free, while the old regime allows deductions such as the old 80C (now Section 123), HRA and home loan interest. We calculate both.

Can I switch regimes every year?

Individuals without business income can choose each year when filing. Those with business or professional income face restrictions on switching back and forth.

When is advance tax due?

In four instalments: 15% by 15 June, 45% by 15 September, 75% by 15 December and 100% by 15 March. It applies when your tax for the year is ₹10,000 or more.

Is tax planning legal?

Yes. Tax planning uses deductions, exemptions and choices the law provides. We don't advise on aggressive or artificial arrangements.
